WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
We're a team of people that hate our jobs. Join us as we complain, kill time, and search for freedom ... all on the company's dime!
I have recently become so sick of work that I decided to start my own business. It’s going to require a bunch of extra time for me to do, and since I’m going to stay working for the time being, I will have limited time to post. Therefore, I’m going to take about a month off of posting here.
I know you’re sad, but it’ll go by quick, i promise
If you’re lonely, feel free to check out the chat room. And if you’re still lonely, send me an email and with enough love i’ll probably make some random posts.
Usa Today wrote an article about how Finland, Sweden, and Norway all publish individual’s salaries publicly.
It’s very popular, she says. Norwegians can go on newspaper websites, she says, and “search for celebrities’ tax details or those of your neighbor or in-laws.”
Can you imagine what would happen if this were the case in the US? Do you think people would love it or hate it? I’d of course be interested in knowing what all my friends make, not to embarrass them, but just to make sure i wasn’t being cheated out of a good salary compared to my peers.
But nothing like this would ever happen in America. We’re WAY too concerned about our privacy
Americans would likely be outraged, says Marc Rotenberg of the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington.
That won’t happen, says Internal Revenue Service spokesman Rob Marvin. “Federal law prohibits the release of that private information.”
A man named Ian Usher is selling his life on ebay. Yes, his life. It includes his house, belongings, friends, even his job! So if you hate your job, maybe you’ll like his position as a rug salesman… It’s currently at $390,000 Australian, which is about $370,000 US Dollars at the time of this post.
There’s still 3 days to go on his sale, and I’m curious how much it will go for. He’s got a lot of stuff…plus…who can pass up an opportunity to be a rug salesman?
He’s got a website devoted to this sale as well…if the ebay listing ever expires you might be able to see the outcome here: ALife4Sale.com
Every so often I go on and check their videos. My most recent favorite was about an anorexic that kept gaining weight because she was eating pencils, desks, kleenex, etc. These are usually safe for work, but you should have your headphones on because there might be some profanity.
Ever have a coworker that does something so annoying you just want to go to war with them…and perhaps even the whole office? Too bad we can’t, but this video shows what it could be like. Let’s live vicariously through them…
It’s 5 minutes long, and after the first minute you get the idea, so then skip to the last minute to see who wins the battle.
